The Russian who liked Rooibos

Benjamin Ginsberg, Russian immigrant, noticed in 1904 the Clanwilliam people drinking a sweet herbal tea and due to his family history of trading in teas, he was immediately interested. He recognised the potential of the Aspalathus Linearis as a herbal tea and started researching this unique plant that naturally grow only in the Cederberg Mountains.
